Repeat Winners at Second Tely Tour Event
Corner Brook, NL….Under ideal weather conditions compared to the previous day’s competition at Stehenville, the 2018 edition of the Tely Tour’s Corner Brook Junior Invitational held at Blomidon Golf Club on July 25th saw repeat winners in all divisions. In the Juvenile Boys Division, Jack Pelley-MacHardy of Grand Falls Golf Club won his second consecutive title recording a 94 claiming the division by retrogression over second place Karsen Best of Bally Haly Country Club while Gabe Bugden took third place with a score of 103.
The Bantam Division saw Evan Snow of Gander secure his second title in as many events with a score of 42 and a 4 stroke win over Noah Beliveau of Harmon Seaside Links who carded a 46 and took second place over Sam Budgen through the retrogression process. Ryan McNeil-Lamswood recorded a second consecutive Junior Division crown finishing the event with a score of 92 and a 10 win over Jacob Alexander also of Harmon Seaside Links. Rounding the top three in the junior division was Luke Lahey of Grand Falls Golf Club with a score of 94.
Paige Allen of Blomidon Golf Club captured the Bantam Girls Division crown with a score of 52 and a 5 stroke victory over Kate Lombard of Blomidon while Kali Gill, also from Blomidon Golf Club placed third by retrogression over Rosie Allen with a score of 63. Aiden Nelson took top spot in the Junior Girls Division with a score of 110. The next event on the Tely Junior Tour will be held at Humber River Golf Club in Deer Lake on Thursday, July 26th beginning at 10:00 A.M.
