Deer Lake, NL…The final stop on the Tely Tour West Coast Swing took place at Deer Lake as the Humber River Junior Invitational started with clear skies but soon turned horrific as the rain cut short the competition to a 9-hole event.
The Bantam Division, Griffin Abbott of Blomidon Golf Club captured his second divisional title with a score of 47 and a 5-stroke win over Alex Elms of Humber river Golf Club who carded a 52 to take second place with Sam Boone and Jaden Reid from Grand Falls Golf Club T3 with a score of 55. Mila Snook of Bally Haly Country Club carded the lowest round in the Girls Bantam Division on the West Coast Swing with a score of 34 to win her third consecutive Bantan crown. Freya Snook of Bally Haly placed second with a score of 41. Blomidon club members Kali Gill and Rosie Allen T3 with a score of 48.
Karsen Best of Bally Haly recorded a third Junior Division crown finishing the shortened 9-hole competition with a score of 45 and a 2-stroke win over Caleb Reid of Grand Falls and Gabrial Bugden of Blomidon T2 carding a 47. Paige Allen of Blomidon Golf Club captured her third Junior Girls Division crown with a score of 41 and a 15-stroke victory over Genevieve Cietro of Humber River Golf Club with Brooklyn Stride of Blomidon recorded a score of 57 to place third.
In the Juvenile Boys Division, Evan Snow of Gander Golf Club won his third consecutive crown recording a 41 and a 3-stroke win over second-place Daniel Sharpe of Blomidon Golf Club with Adam Lamswood of Blomidon and Noah Belliveau of Harmon Seaside Links T3 with a score of 48.
The next event on the Tely Junior Tour will be held at Grand Falls Golf Club in Grand Falls-Windsor on Monday, July 26thbeginning at 10:00 A.M.
