Snow and Fisher Take Crowns at Bally Haly Junior Open

St. John’s, NL

Despite beginning the round with strong winds and intermittent heavy rain showers, the skies ultimately cleared to provide excellent conditions for the Bally Haly Junior Open as part of the 2022 Tely Junior Tour.

Sam Fisher of Bally Haly Country Club continued his strong performance in the Juvenile Division, winning the division with a score of 78 and eight strokes over fellow clubmate Lucan Meade. James Mitchell of Grande Meadows Golf Club secured third place with a score of 87.

In the Junior Boys’ Division, Evan Snow of Gander Golf Club captured his first divisional title of the season, recording a score of 88 and a 1-stroke win over Evan Mitchell of Bally Haly Country Club. John Park of Brookside recorded a 90, taking third place.

In the Junior Girls’ Division, Sanjana Gullipalli of Clovelly carded an 86 to take the top spot. Jonah Sharpe of Blomidon Golf Club came in first in the Bantam Boys’ Division with a score of 54.

At the closing awards luncheon, Golf NL thanked the host course, staff and management, the volunteers, title sponsor The Telegram, and contributing partners, RMS, Browning Harvey, and Taylormade for their support of junior golf and the Tely Junior Tour.
