Corner Brook, NL….Under suburb weather conditions at the second stop on the 2021 edition of the Tely Tour’s Corner Brook Junior Invitational held at Blomidon Golf Club on July 21st saw repeat winners in all divisions. In the Junior Boys Division, Karsen Best of Bally Haly Country Club won his second consecutive title carding a 76 and an 8-stroke win over Caleb Reid of Grand Falls Golf Club. Evan Dicks of Humber River Golf Club carded a 96 to take third place.
Paige Allen, of Blomidon Golf Club won her second competition in the Girls Junior Division carding a 88 while Brooklyn Stride also of Blomidon recorded a score of 101 to secure second while Genevieve Cieto of Humber River Golf Club took third with a total of 107.
Evan Snow of Gander Golf Club captured his second title in the Boys Juvenile Division, with a score of 84 and 5 stroke s ahead of Noah Belliveau of Harmon Seaside Links and Aiden Lamswood of Blomidon both carding a 91. Belliveau claimed second place using the retrogression process.
In the Bantam Girls Division, Mila Snook and twin sister Freya carded identical scores of 37 with Mila winning her second divisional title by retrogression in the 9-hole competition. Kali Gill secured third place recording a 44.
The Boys Bantam Division saw Jonah Sharpe of Blomidon Golf Club secure his first title of the season with a score of 44 and a 4-stroke win over Sam Boone of Grand Falls Golf Club who carded a 48 and took second place over Griffin Abbott of Blomidon who had a total of 50.
