Meade and Holwell Three-peat at Pippy Park Junior Tely Tour Event

St.John’s, NL… With clear skies, a little breeze, and excellent course conditions, the last leg of the 2021 Tely Junior Tour regular season wrapped up on the Admiral’s Green Course at Pippy Park on Thursday, August 19th.

Lucan Meade of Clovelly captured the final Juvenile Boys Division crown of the regular season with a score of 89 while Daniel Sharpe of Blomidon Golf Club carding a 97 to secure second place. First-year competitor Jeremy Winters of GlenDenning Golf place third with a score of 120.

Ryan Holwell continued his consistent performance in the Junior Boys Division winning his seventh divisional title of the season recording a 5 over par 76 with Evan Mitchell carded an 83 to hold onto second place just 1 stroke ahead of third-place Karsen Best. All three players are members of Bally Haly Country Club.

In the Bantam Boys Division, Declan Flynn of GlenDenning Golf recorded a 38 to win this first divisional title with a 5-stroke win over Griffen Gallant of Bally Haly while Rowan Antle of Clovelly claimed third place with a score of 45.

In the Bantam Girls Division, Freya Snook of Bally Haly carded a 40 to win the division, with Mila Snook recording a 44 for second. Sanjana Gullipalli of Clovelly carded a 48 to place third. Terra Nova Resort & Golf Community will host the final events of the 2021 Tely Junior Tour on the weekend of August 28th & 29th. The schedule of activities includes the hosting of a Skills Challenge on Saturday followed by the Tour Championship round Sunday morning and concluding with the presentation of the overall championship awards in each division.
