With fantastic course conditions and ideal golfing weather, Pitcher’s Pond Golf Course hosted the sixth event on the 2022 Tely Junior Tour. In the Bantam Boys’ Division, first-time competitor Michael Rowsell of Glendenning Golf captured the title with a score of 53.
In the Boys’ Juvenile Division, Keegan Pender of Pippy Park Golf Course and James Mitchell of Grande Meadows Golf Club tied for first with a score of 99. Mitchell won the division through the process of retrogression. Griffen Gallant, playing in his first tournament of the season, captured third place with a score of 108.
2021 Junior Division Champion Ryan Holwell of Bally Haly picked up his first divisional title of the year, carding a 77 with fellow club mate Karsen Best placing second with a score of 88. Philip Snow of Amaruk Golf & Sports Club in Goose Bay finished in third place with a score of 89.
At the closing awards luncheon, Golf NL thanked the host course, staff and management, the volunteers, title sponsor The Telegram, and contributing partners, RMS, Browning Harvey and Taylormade.
