St.John’s, NL….. Under cloudy skies, a warm breeze, and ideal course conditions, the Osprey Championship Course at Clovelly played host to the tenth stop on the 2021 Tely Junior Tour on Tuesday, August 17th.
Ryan Holwell of Bally Haly Country Club continued his winning stretch in the Junior Boys Division winning his second consecutive title in as many days carding a 5 over par 76. Karsen Best recorded an 80 to secure second while first-time competitor Frankie Dominie, also of Bally Haly placed third with a score of 88.
In the Bantam Boys Division, Keegan Pender, of GlenDenning Golf recorded a 41 to win this second straight Division title with a 1 stroke win over Owen Dunford of Bally Haly. Griffen Gallant of Bally Haly and Rowan Antle of Clovelly T3 with a score of 44, Gallant was awarded third using the process of retrogression.
Lucan Meade of Clovelly and fellow club member Sam Fisher T1 with an identical score of 88, however utilizing the process of retrogression, Lucan Meade claimed first place in the Juvenile Division with Fisher placing second. Daniel Sharpe of Blomidon Golf Club carding a 93 in claiming third place.
In the Bantam Girls Division, Mila Snook of Bally Haly carded a 36 to win the division with Freya Snook recording a 37 for a second. Sanjana Gullipalli of Clovelly carded a 38 to place third. The second to last event on the 2021 Tely Junior Tour will be held on Thursday, August 19th at Pippy Park Golf Course in St.John’s with the Pippy Park Junior Invitational.
