St. John’s, NL… With superb course conditions and ideal weather, Glendenning Golf played hosted the seventh event of the 2021 Tely Junior Tour. In the Bantam Boys Division, 2019 Bantam Division Champion, Griffin Gallant of Bally Haly recorded a score of 39 to capture his first divisional title of the season with a 1 stroke victory over Declan Flynn of Glendenning Golf. Owen Dunford of Bally Haly carded a 41 to secure third place.
Provincial Development Team member, Ryan Holwell captured his third consecutive Junior Division title recording an impressive 3 under par 68 to win by 4 strokes over Brandon Powell with Evan Mitchell carded a 75 to take third. All three individuals are members of Bally Haly Country Club.
In the Juvenile Boys Division, Sam Fisher of Clovelly recorded an 81to win his first divisional title of the year with a 5-stroke win over fellow club mate Lucan Meade. James Mitchell of Grand Meadows Golf Club rounded out the top three with a score of 95.
Sanjana Gullipali of Bally Haly Country Club and fellow club member, Freya Snook carded an identical score of 37 with Gullipali winning the title through the use of the retrogression process, while Mila Snook also of Bally Haly placed third with a score of 42.
The next event on the 2021 Tely Junior Tour will be held on Tuesday, August 3rd at The Wilds Golf Resort in Salmonier.
