With superb course conditions and ideal weather, Glendenning Golf hosted the seventh event of the 2022 Tely Junior Tour. In the Bantam Boys’ Division, second-year player Roirden Flynn captured the title recording a round of 52, while first-year player Michael Rowsell of Glendenning Golf claiming second with a score of 69.
In the Juvenile Boys’ Division, 2021 Juvenile Division champion Sam Fisher of Bally Haly Country Club carded an 81 to win his first divisional title of the season. Fellow club mates Griffen Gallant and Lucan Meade tied for second with a score of 89, with Gallant claiming second place using the retrogression formula.
Fresh off a victory at the Federer Cup at Bally Haly Country Club, Ryan Holwell of Bally Haly carded a 3 under par 68 to claim the Junior Boys’ Divisional crown and recorded the lowest score on the Tely Tour so far this season. In the Junior Girls’ Division Sanjana Gullipalli of Clovelly claimed the top spot, recording a score of 81.
At the closing awards luncheon, Golf NL thanked the host course, staff and management, the volunteers, title sponsor The Telegram, and contributing partners RMS, Browning Harvey, and Taylormade for their support of junior golf and the Tely Junior Tour.
