Fisher and Meade Capture Triple Crowns at Pippy Park Junior Tely Tour

St. John’s, NL…With light winds, clear skies and exceptional course conditions, the final regular season event on the 2023 Tely Junior Tour supported by SaltWire was held on the Admiral’s Green Course at Pippy Park Golf Course.

Sam Fisher of Bally Haly Country Club claimed his third consecutive Junior Boys title recording an 80 and a 2 stroke margin of victory over Spencer Whitten of Glendenning Golf. Tely Tour newcomer Jackson Winsor of Tamarack Golf Club in Labrador City placed third, carded an 86.

In the Juvenile Boys Division, Lucan Meade of Bally Haly Country Club also claimed his third consecutive divisional championship recording a score of 79 which was the low score of the day and a 5 stroke win over Declan Flynn of Glendenning Golf. Drew Hudson of Pippy Park Golf Course recorded a score of 86 to took third place.

The Junior Girls division, Freya Snook captured her second Junior title of the season recording a 79 and a 1 stroke victory over fellow club mate Sanjana Gullipalli. Mila Snook carded an 84 to take third place. All three players are members of Bally Haly Country Club.

In the Bantam Division, three members of Bally Haly Country club captured all three top spots with Liam Costello wining the Bantam Championships with a score of 40 followed by Davis Koren just 1 stroke from the leader with Max McCarthy in third place with a score of 42.

At the closing awards luncheon, Golf NL thanked the host course, staff and management, the volunteers, title sponsor The Telegram and contributing partners, RMS, Browning Harvey and Taylormade for their support of junior golf and the Tely Junior Tour.
