Learn to Play is a 4-stage development program for junior golfers, with each stage identified by a colour, that allows you to learn, play and have fun with the game of golf as you make your way through each stage. Online components include a digital progress report and the ability to communicate with your golf instructor.

The Junior Skills Challenge allows you to track your personal progress through a variety of “skills challenges” throughout the season. The program also allows you to see how you stack up against your fellow golfers of similar ages in four different skills challenges. Online, you will be able to track your progression with a personal scorecard, communicate with your golf instructor and more!

The Girls’ Club is a golf program designed for girls 7-18 years of age wishing to participate with girls who share the same interests. As a Girls’ Club member, you will develop the necessary skills and the proper attitude to enjoy golf for life. Girls Rule!

The LTPD is a systemic approach designed by Golf Canada in partnership with the PGA of Canada to maximize a participant’s potential and involvement in our sport. The LTPD framework aims to define optimal training, competition and recovery throughout an athlete’s career to enable him/her to reach his/her full potential in golf and as an athlete.

The National Junior Golf Development Centre (NJGDC) initiative was established to recognize facilities that are offering a first-class golf experience for children aged 5-18. NJGDC’s run nationally endorsed golf programs, have trained and certified PGA of Canada golf coaches and are linked to schools in their communities.

The Junior Scholarship Program provides two scholarships to student golfers entering or continuing a full-time course of study at a Canadian secondary or post-secondary educational institution. One scholarship will be awarded to a junior male and the other to a junior female from year to year, based upon the funds available for distribution. Scholarships will be awarded to individuals who have participated in the Newfoundland Labrador golf community and who have demonstrated scholastic excellence.

The Golf in Schools program has been developed to deliver Physical Education learning outcomes through the sport of golf. The initial element of the program is focused on assisting elementary school teachers (specialists and non-specialists) with and without a background in golf, to plan and deliver quality learning experiences using golf as the vehicle.
