Canada to celebrate National Golf Day

Canada to Celebrate National Golf Day

Canada’s national golf industry associations will celebrate the annual National Golf Day, on Monday May 29. More Canadians play golf than any other participation sport and the industry is #1 in driving economic impact, employment and charity fund-raising activities throughout the country.

The National Golf Day was created to recognize the impact of the golf community and promote awareness and exposure. Participating golf facilities across Canada will be offering fun golf activities including tournaments, clinics, free golf for juniors, skills contests and more.

For NCGOA Canada CEO Jeff Calderwood, the day provides an opportunity for golf facilities to build a connection with golfers and community sports enthusiasts. In Newfoundland Labrador a number of courses have planned celebration including The Wilds Golf Resort. On Monday May 28th, the Resort will be drawing prizes throughout the day, as well as offering $30.00 green fees (carts extra) and restaurant and beverage specials.

Golf day is a perfect opportunity for golfers of all ages and skill levels to get out and and raise the awareness of the rapid growing sport, as well as enjoying themselves in the process. All of Newfoundland and Labradors golf resorts are ready to deliver a quality, exciting experience and invite you to come celebrate National Golf Day.
