Golf NL is Proud to acknowledge Mr. Morley Nippard, the 2019 Volunteer of the Year.
Morley Nippard is a well-known name at the Tamarack Golf Course, to say he volunteers is an understatement. Morley has been a well-known name for over 15 years and he is known for his dedication and determination in everything he does. His passion and commitment to the Tamarack Golf Course are never in question!
Morley is an important part of why our Club runs as smoothly as it does, he is involved in everything that goes on at the Club from keeping our course in the beautiful condition that it is, to helping out with all tournaments and competitions that are held. Morley is always there to talk to you if you have any questions about the club or about golfing. It is nothing to see Morley at the club whether it be 8:00 am or 8:00 pm, he is dedicated to the club, its members, and the success of the club.
Morley has made sure throughout the years that he has kept up his training in how to keep our greens and fairways in the exceptional shape that they are in, most times at his own expense. Morley is always at the club and if he is not he is only a phone call away if needed all we need to do is pick up the phone, whether it be to volunteer at an event when scheduled volunteers could not make it, to problems in the Club House or out on the course. It just always seems logical and easy to contact Morley because we know it will be done. No job is too small or too big for Morley, he can jump in and help out with any job from scorekeeping at an event, to helping round up prizes for an event and he is great on the BBQ. Most times Morley doesn’t even need to be asked he’s just there ready to take on any task.

Morley is also a great advocate for the Club, he attends a lot of different competitions throughout our beautiful Province and even in Quebec and he is always praising our Club because that is his passion. He is always trying to find ways to promote the club whether it be purchasing balls or ball markers with our logo to sell at our Pro Shop to telling everyone he meets what a great course we have here in Labrador West.
Morey is truly an asset to the Tamarack Golf Course and is very deserving of any recognition he receives and is surely deserving of Volunteer of the Year.
