GNL and NLGA announce Partnership with Molson Coors

Golf Newfoundland Labrador (GNL) and the Newfoundland Labrador Golf Association (NLGA), are pleased to announce that on Thursday February 2nd Molson Coors Canada located on Circular Road in St John's, NL have entered into a formal partnership agreement with the two provincial golf organizations for 2012.

Craig White of Molson Coors stated that “ while the company has been involved with the sporting side of the golf industry for a number of years, we are very excited about the opportunities to work with the marketing organization”.

GNL President, Trevor Stuber noted that “GNL is very pleased to obtain the sponsorship of Molson Coors and looks forward to positive and productive year ahead”. In terms of promotional activities, Molson Coors will be involved in such initiatives as the 2012 Flying Foursome Program, 2012 Golf Draw, Placemat Promotion and other promotional activities.

Molson Coors will continue the sponsorship and support of the NLGA which includes such activities as the Provincial Adult Championships and Hall of Fame Program. President of the NLGA, Marcheta Gallant welcomed the opportunity to partner with Molson in 2012 and stated that “ the NLGA and Molson Coors have had a great relationship over the past few years and hopefully we can build on these successes moving forward into 2012”.

GNL's mandate is to market and promote the provincial golf product to resident and non-resident golfers. The organization was established in 1994 on the heels of a major development and expansion of the golf industry throughout the province. Over the years the organization has worked with a number of partners to develop, ehance and achieve its objectives.

NLGA is the Provincial Sport Organization that is responsible for the growth and development of the sport of golf throughout the province. The organization is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors and supports such programs as the Golf In Schools. Junior Future Links, Provincial Junior Development Program and Provincial Championships.
