Gary Lawes achieves Hole-In-One at Pippy Park
On Wednesday August 6th Gary Lawes of St. John's achieved something few before him had done. He managed to hit his first ever hole-in-one on the 160 yard, par par 3 on 13th hole on Admiral's Green at Pippy Park.
Playing with Bill Fleming, Doug Murphy and Paul Gulliver, Mr. Lawes used a five-hybrid to earn his first ace. The resident of Sty. John's started playing golf approximately four years ago and since that time has played close to 200 rounds.
Congratulations to Gary and by the way his 92 over 18-holes was the top score amongst the group that day.
