Humber Valley Resort was recently honoured with three substantial website awards.

At the beginning of October, Humber Valleys website received an Interactive Media Award (IMA) for Outstanding Achievement. This award recognizes that Humber Valleys website met and surpassed the basic standards of excellence that comprise the web's most professional work. The site was honoured specifically for excellence in the Travel and Tourism category.

In order to win this award, the site had to meet strict guidelines in the areas of design, usability, innovation in technical features, standards compliance and content an achievement only a fraction of sites in the IMA competition earn each quarter. Other nominees included some well known five star hotels and resorts.

On October 18th, the Resort took top honours at the Silver Spider Web Awards. These awards are sponsored by Newfoundlands largest daily newspaper, The Telegram. Humber Valley Resort walked away with awards for Best Site Promotion and Best Overall Site. The Telegrams Silver Spider Web Awards honour Newfoundland and Labradors best websites. The award ceremony took place at the Johnson GeoCentre in St. Johns and honoured website excellence in Navigation; Copy Writing; Visual Design; Animation and Video; Site Promotion; Grassroots Site and Best Overall Site. A panel of judges selected the winners from 250 nominations across the province. John Atkins, Information Systems Director with Humber Valley Resort commented, "These awards further validate that Humber Valley Resort is an industry leader with a powerful and appealing website for our valuable clients. It is an honour to have our work recognized by both The Telegram the Interactive Media Council Awards. We are delighted that our projects are world-class examples of how the Internet can be used to enhance a company's message and branding.
