0 2 Amaruk Golf & Sports Club An enchanting wilderness escape welcomes golfers who play a round at Amarack Golf and Sports Club in Labrador. Located in Happy Valley Goose Bay, Amarack has quickly gained a reputation for having some of the best greens in the province. The layout through the rugged terrain provides an excellent challenge for golfers of all ages and experience. 0 19 Bally Haly Country Club St. John's oldest and only private golf and curling club. Bally Haly Golf and Curling Club has a reputation of producing some of the finest golfers Newfoundland and Labrador has to offer. Celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2008, Bally Haly has hosted two Ladies' Amatuer Championships, in 1979 and 1989 and hosted the 2003 Canadian Senior Men's Golf Championship. The golf course plays to a challenging par 70 and has undergone recent changes designed by world-renowned golf course architect Graham Cooke. In 2005 Bally Haly installed a fairway irrigtaion system to better condition the golf course. Its undulating fairways and prevailing winds make the short layout a challenge for all golfing abilities. 0 3 Blomidon Golf Club As one of the first golf courses in the province, Blomidon has been a historic icon in the development of the city Corner Brook. Recently redesigned by the famous Graham Cooke, the 18 holes provide a challenging and fun experience to golfers of all levels. Golfers who play Blomidon will delight in the panoramic views of the city and the spectacular Bay of Islands. Blomidon has hosted several major events including the National Junior Ladies Championship in 1979 and 1994. The course is located in Corner Brook and is linked directly to the Trans Canada Highway. This nine-hole course offers a true taste of Newfoundland hospitality matched with a fun and challenging round of golf. 0 6 Gander Golf Club Originally designed as a nine-hole course, Gander Golf Club is now amongst the most challenging and scenic 18 hole courses in the province. Set on the rolling hills along the Gander Lake, the newly designed course will open for the 2001 golf season. As characteristic of the original nine holes, the course provides large sculptured greens surrounded by large, deep, strategically placed sand traps. A modern clubhouse overlooking the lake with full restaurant and bar provides a relaxing setting once you complete a round at Gander Golf Club. 0 31 Glendenning Golf The Glendenning Golf Course is located in one of St. Johns newest subdivisions Southlands. This 18-hole course is the newest addition to Newfoundlands golf community and is quickly gaining attention as great place to play golf.The course is located in the Southlands subdivision in St. Johns off the Ruby Line exit off Pitts Memorial Drive. Various restaurant options are available in nearby Mount Pearl. LP
0 7 Grand Falls Golf Club The Grand Falls Golf Course with its newly developed Clubhouse is located directly off the Trans Canada Highway, just 2Km west of Grand Falls-Windsor. Bounded by the famed Exploits River to the south Grand Falls Golf Club is a links style course perfect for golfers of all ages and abilities. Open fairways and small greens make accuracy on approach shots an important factor on each hole. The layout of the course is flat and open with small undulating greens, making the walk through the fairways an easy task. The 18th hole, with an approach shot across Rushy Pond Brook is one of the finest finishing holes to be found anywhere in the province. LP
0 22 Grande Meadows Golf Club Grande Meadows Golf Club is located along the outer edges of the Burin Peninsula on the South coast of Newfoundland. This ocean side course provides scenic views of Fortune Bay and challenging play with fast greens that are rated among the best in the province. The maturity of the course since its opening in 1995 can be seen on various water hazards, large bent grass greens and wide lush tee boxes that provide numerous tee placements. A round at Grande Meadows Golf Club will require more focus on accuracy than distance off the tees with narrow fairways a factor on every hole. Various accommodation options are available 5 minutes from the Grande Meadows and the town of Marystown is located 20 minutes away. LP
0 20 Harmon Seaside Links Originally designed as a nine hole course for US Servicemen posted at the Stephenville Air Force Base in the 1960s, Harmon Seaside Links now boasts a Graham Cooke designed 9 hole extension. The combined holes provide a truly unique and challenging golf experience. Bordering on the scenic Gulf of St. Lawrence, Harmon provides an ocean breeze that adds a soothing feel to the course while at the same time drawing attention to prevailing winds at this true links course. The course can be accessed from either routes 490 or 460 from the Trans Canada Highway. Stephenville offers various accommodation options. LP
0 8 Humber River Golf Club Named after the river that borders the course, Humber River Golf Club offers golfers of all levels a fun golfing experience amidst a tranquil and lush rural landscape. The spacious clubhouse offers views of the fourth and ninth greens from the balcony. Privacy and safety are the unique characteristics of this course. Each is hole is completely separate, with narrow fairways lined with spruce and fir trees. 0 10 Pippy Park Golf Course The Pippy Park Golf Courses consist of an 18-hole championship course and a nine-hole course. Both courses offer golfers a spectacular panoramic view of St. Johns where it is not uncommon to see icebergs that drift down from Greenland. The nine-hole course, Captians Hill, is the original golf course at Pippy Park. The course was nurtured from the growing demand for a public golf course in the St. Johns region during the mid 1970s. A group of volunteers organized the Newfoundland Public Golf Association and made Captains Hill a reality with a challenging nine-hole layout. The development of the 18-hole championship course Admirals Green was a reflection of a need for a new course after the demand for play Captains Hill steadily increased throughout the 1980s. Opened since 1993, Admirals Green offers a Graham Cooke design that treats the golfer to a challenge that Europeans have rated worthy of any British Open Championship. The course has hosted several national tournaments including the Canadian Junior, Juvenille and Ladies championships. The course has also hosted the Canadian Pro Tour. The modern facility full amenities including bar, proshop, change rooms and a spectacular view of the courses and historic St. Johns. The Pippy Park Golf Courses are located close to the airport and the downtown area of St. Johns. LP
0 11 Pitcher's Pond Golf Club Pitchers Pond Golf Course is located on the south side of Trinity Bay on Route 80. One of Newfoundland and Labradors recent golf courses, this facility was opened in early July of 2005. The course ois constructed on the hills overlooking beautiful Trinity Bay and the scenic beauty of Pitchers Pond. Here as you enjoy your game of golf you will also enjoy nature at its finest. 0 13 Tamarack Golf Club Adverturous and challenging describe The Tamarack Golf Club in Western Labrador. As the most northern course in Eastern Canada, Tamarack is carved out of the natural wilderness of Labrador, and offers a beautifully designed 18-hole course that brings the golfer in true contact with nature. The fairways are surrounded by black spruce and offer a unique tranquility as golfers traverse each fun and challenging hole. Several holes offer picturesque views of the surrounding Duley Lake. 0 14 Terra Nova Resort & Golf Community Terra Nova Golf Resort Course is the flagship of the golf community in Newfoundland and Labrador.
